Judges Receive First Pay Rise

Chief Justice Wan Ahmad Farid announced a long‑awaited pay increase for Malaysia’s judges, noting that they have not received any annual increments for years. The chief justice said the adjustment will bolster judicial independence and lower the risk of external pressure or undue interference.
