Expanding SARA for Better Aid

Minister Amir Hamzah announced that the government will widen the Social Assistance and Relief Allocation (SARA) network, aiming to bring essential services closer to underserved communities across the peninsula.
The rollout will involve new digital hubs, mobile units and partnerships with local NGOs, ensuring that cash assistance, food parcels and health vouchers reach households faster and with fewer bureaucratic hurdles.

For Malaysians, the expanded SARA network means quicker, more reliable access to government aid, especially in rural and remote areas where paperwork and travel have long delayed support for families.

By tightening the delivery chain, the programme reduces poverty gaps, curbs fraud and builds public confidence in welfare schemes, which is crucial as the cost of living climbs for many households.
