Mechanic Survives Workshop Blast

On 8 February, a sudden blast ripped through a small workshop in Kampung Air Merbo Dalam, Tanah Merah, sending shrapnel across the floor. The explosion severed the right leg of 38‑year‑old mechanic Ahmad Zulkifli, who was alone at the time.

Emergency crews arrived within minutes, transporting him to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah where doctors placed him in intensive care. Though his condition remains critical, doctors report his vital signs are stable and his family is by his side.
