Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lim Yi Wei has sounded the alarm, urging both Putrajaya and the Selangor state government to move swiftly on the proposed public hospital in Putrajaya. The project, touted as a vital boost to healthcare capacity for the capital’s growing population, remains in a funding and approval limbo. Lim warned that any further delay could see the plan lose momentum, jeopardising the promised beds, specialist services and job creation for locals. He called for a clear timetable, firm financial commitment and inter‑governmental coordination to ‘lock in’ the hospital before political cycles shift priorities. The assemblyman also highlighted that neighbouring districts are already lobbying for similar facilities, meaning Putrajaya could fall behind regional health planning if action stalls.

Securing the hospital will directly improve access to quality care for thousands of residents, reduce pressure on existing clinics, and generate local employment, making it a practical priority for community wellbeing.
